Mr. Bhuvang.M. | Professor & PrincipalAn alumnus of Christ College, Bangalore, Mr.Bhuvan is a Graduate in Hotel Management and a Post Graduate in Tourism & Human Resources. He has more than 18 years of experience in hospitality academics and administration. A member of various academic and industry fora, Mr. Bhuvan has also organized, participated in, and published several papers in National and International Seminars.He was part of the two member committee to formulate and develop Model Curriculum for 4 year BHM programme of AICTE,New Delhi. Also,he was a member of the NAAC peer team ,former Chairman of Adhoc Board of Studies,Bangalore University and presently member of Adhoc Board of Studies,University of Mumbai .He is nominated as the President of Rotary Club of New Bombay Hill Side,Navi Mumbai for the year 2012-2013.

A representative of GSE (Group Study Exchange) "Team India" to United Kingdom, sponsored by Rotary International, Mr. Bhuvan is passionate about Hospitality Research, Cross Cultural Dynamics, and Management of Change .Mr Bhuvan has attended Professional Development Programmes(PDP) in Strategic Management and Strategic Leadership from Cornell University, Ithaca,New York,USA. He comes with the rich experience of heading the Hotel Management Degree Program at Christ college, Bangalore.
 
MR. SHIRISH BOKDE | Associate Professor & Head of the Department - Front Office & IT

Mr. Shirish Bokde Mr. Bokde is an alumnus of the 1990 batch of Institute of Hotel Management, Applied Nutrition & Catering Technology, Mumbai. His career in hospitality spans 20 enriching years, including 14 years in academics & 6 years in the industry itself. Mr. Bokde has contributed immensely towards curriculum development, and is a part of the inspection committees for new Colleges.

Mr Bokde has attended Professional Development Programmes (PDP) in Hotel Revenue Management and Strategic Hospitality Management from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA.
 
MS. UJWALA SONAWANE | Associate Professor & Head of the Department - Food & Beverage Service

Ms. Ujwala SonawaneMs. Sonawane is an alumnus of the 1993 batch of Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Mumbai. After working for 3 years in Hotel Operations, she took up teaching, and taught Food & Beverage Service and Management for 16 years. She has also worked as Training Manager for ARAMARK, Facilities Management Company.

Ms. Laxmi Todiwan An alumnus of the 1997 batch of Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition Mumbai, Ms. Todiwan started her career with the Taj Group of hotels (Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, Mumbai). After 4 years of working in the hotel operations , she joined her alma mater IHM Mumbai as a faculty in the Rooms division where she worked for 6 years. With a rich experience in hotel operations and teaching, she came on board the Apeejay Institute of Hospitality in April 2007.
 

CHEF MANOJ PATKAR | Associate Professor & Head of the Department - Food Production

Chef. Manoj Patkar Chef Patkar has 15 years of experience in various 5-star hotels across India, along with international tenures in Cyprus and Switzerland. Having started as an Apprentice Cook in 1992, he has steadily worked up the ladder to becoming Corporate Chef in 2006.

Mr. Chitre is alumnus of Hammersmith & West London College, UK . He has gathered 14 years of Hospitality Experience including 8 years in the Industry and 6 years in academics. Having worked in the industry in Food and Beverage Service at various levels, He went on to successfully pursue Post Graduation from London. While there, he worked with International hotels like The Dalmahoy Marriott, Scotland & Melia White House, London. Ms. Smita Borse | Lecturer- Accommodations
IHM AHMEDABAD -B.Sc in Hotel Management, currently pursuing M.Sc in Hotel Management.
Smita started her career with the Taj group of hotels in 2007 as a Management trainee in the Housekeeping department. She has worked with 4 different properties across India. After 2 ½ years of industry experience she took up teaching as her forte. Ltd., Mumbai , Royal College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai , Mumbai University Of Chemical Technology (MUICT), Mumbai.
